Second Posting: Old Market Passageway

Here is the second shot from last nights outing in Old Market Passageway. Today ends my 2 week working streak so tonight and tomorrow will be full of posts! Saturday's post takes me 80 miles outside of the city!

Day Twelve: 1 of 2 posts!

I promised two posts and you will get two posts today! This is the first one looking east onto I-80 with the grain elevators to the left. I couldn't decide if I like it B & W better or color, so you get both! Had to dodge many cars for this one..

Day Eleven: Mystery Sign!

Yes, I am aware it has been 1 week since posting, so I failed at my New Year's resolution. But hey, don't we all? I will make it up though by having multiple posts a day starting tomorrow! I've been super busy with work this week and trying to plan my next birthday shoot next weekend so posting a picture everyday became virtually impossible! I will fix this tomorrow! 

I have always wanted to try shooting this and did so tonight since I knew it wouldn't take much time. If you can't figure out what this is, well you will if you look at it long enough!

Day Ten: Frozen Berries

Ok so now I am getting a little anxious for the snow to leave so everything isn't white! I do have big plans for my weekend shots that involve the snow so I guess it can stay around until then :). Otherwise, these frozen berries will have to suffice until then! Enjoy!

Day Nine: Freezing!

Heavy gausian blur to give it a soft glowy effect.

Australian Open. Andy Roddick in the third set. I pluck my boyfriend from the couch to be my model for the night. You would've thought I had started World War III! Apparently this match is a big deal. Well I won that battle and it was soo cold out, we only lasted a few shots! Ready for the warm weather to be back because there isn't much to shoot in the winter.

Day Eight: Double Posting!

So tonight was a horrible night for photography for some reason. Kind of like when I have those bad running days and I just throw in the towel and wait for tomorrow. I am not real pleased with these shots but since I don't like them, I'll post two to make up for it! The downtown shot was supposed to be a long exposure with streaked headlights but not a single car was around to produce headlights for me! So after waiting for 10 minutes for a car to go by, I decided to practice my night time panning shot. Unfortunately, when a car did pass by, it was a work truck. Just my luck! Forget the newly washed Acura's and Lexus's today, it was all about the dirty Chevy tonight.

Day Seven: Daytime Panning

I actually took this shot down in Peculiar, MO while I was photographing an MS bike ride. This is one of my best panning shots I've ever taken and can't wait for more panning opportunities!

Day Six: Water Droplets

I  have been wanting to tackle this project for a very long time and today I finally did it! This took me roughly an hour to shoot and LOTS of patience! I am pretty pleased with the outcome!

Day Five: Long Exposure

I had a very specific shot in mind for tonight but couldn't find what I was looking for. I know I can find what I'm looking for tomorrow night for sure! Here is one of my favorite shots of the pedestrian bridge downtown! Stay tuned for my original idea tomorrow night!

Day Four: Clouds!

So for today's shot, I decided to go with something a little more warm since my past shots involved cold snow!

Tonight I braved the negative temps to capture this shot. Well worth it! This was taken downtown right off of Farnam Street.

Day Two: Bokeh

I decided to tackle Bokeh today. For those of who you don't know what Bokeh is, it's basically the out of focus regions of a photograph. I decided to turn my "photo of the day" into a big bokeh picture. Enjoy!

I finally started a blog as I was advised to months ago! So for my New Years resolutions, I have decided to keep up on this blog AND take and post a picture every day for the next year! Even on days like today where snow is soaking me wet, my lens is spotty and I will wonder why I am doing this??

So here it goes; day 1! Off to shoot in the snow!
